I was happy with the Aftershokz for many years. I upgraded after 4 years when quality started to deteriorate. Initially I wasn't happy with the additional $319 I had to spend. But I am now SO HAPPY with the change. I have connected the AFTERSHOKZ COMM2 to my laptop with the USB connector and to my iPhone via bluetooth. It is a seamless transition between both devices. Clear and crisp connection. Superbly comfortable. Battery life is excellent. everyone in a professional environment should get themselves one of these headsets! Highly recommend!

I’ve been battling with headset cords ever since VOIP replaced desk phones at my workplace. I’ve never found in-ear headphones comfortable, so the Shokz solution seemed perfect.

I was right. I’m very glad to have made the investment. They’re comfortable and I can maintain awareness of what’s happening around me. The sound quality is excellent and the battery life phenomenal.

And I’ve finally stopped sweeping things on to the floor off the desk with a loose cable. It also removes that uneasy sensation of being physically tethered to your computer. Which is really the modern day equivalent of being a galley slave, chained to the rowing bench. Well, except that I’m well-paid. And have really quite good conditions of service. And access to moisturiser. But otherwise: galley slave.

What devices will Opencomm2 UC pair with?

Via Dongle, Opencomm2 UC can pair with desk devices like PC, laptop, as long as it offers a USB-A port or USB-C port.
Via Bluetooth, Opencomm2 UC will pair with most Bluetooth devices that use Bluetooth 3.1 or higher, including phones, tablets, computers and watches. It will not pair with gaming consoles. It will not pair with some transmitters.

How do I mute/unmute the microphone？

To mute the microphone, click the mute button once during the call. You’ll hear ‘mute on’, and the the Loop110 will show solid red.
To unmute the microphone, click the mute button once during the call. You’ll hear ‘mute off’.

Can the dual noise-canceling boom microphone be removed?

The boom microphone on the Opencomm2 UC is not detachable, you are able to move the microphone so you can move it away from your mouth when you are done with your call.
Note：The microphone can only be rotated 180 degrees. During use, please operate with care.

Can individuals with hearing loss benefit from bone conduction headphones?

As the situation varies person from person, we are unable to confirm that whether our headphones will work for any particular individual. We suggest you can ask the doctor first, or there are plenty of retailers with in-store demos, we encourage you to give them a try. Kindly see the retailers here

What is the function of Shokz connect?

Shokz Connect supports firmware upgrades, which implement the headset firmware update functions. For example, fixing software bugs, getting the latest performance updates, etc.. 1. OpenComm2 UC was tested under controlled laboratory conditions, and the comparison object is Shokz previous generation products.
2. OpenComm2 UC was tested under the normal temperature environment of standard atmospheric pressure by connecting the headset to an iPhone 12 Pro within one meter and switching the EQ to standard mode. The data was collected by playing “Trouble Is A Friend” by Lenka at a volume level of 93%.
3. OpenComm2 UC was tested under controlled laboratory conditions. This data is gathered at the Shokz laboratory and is charged by 5V voltage at 25±2 ℃.
4. OpenComm2 UC can withstand moderate sweat, rain, and dust exposure in a non-water environment. OpenComm UC was tested under controlled laboratory conditions and has a rating of IP55 under IEC standard 60529. Water-resistance is not a permanent condition and resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear. Please do not submerge or expose the frames for an extended period to water or any drinks.
